'We love Tempe public school.

Our school community is inclusive and backed by wonderful staff who have been long standing and part of the school for many years. Our principal encourages families to take part in school events throughout the year which allows us to be involved in our children’s educational journeys.

Our teachers have created an environment where every student can thrive in areas outside of academics and be part of sports teams, music bands & clubs.

These opportunities have empowered my children and given them a sense of belonging to the school' — Tempe parent

Inclusive education

We acknowledge and honour the oldest living cultures of this land, the Aboriginal peoples, whose rich histories, cultures, and perspectives have sustained communities for tens of thousands of years. Our school is committed to ensuring that Aboriginal histories, cultures, and perspectives are at the heart of all decision making and teaching and learning. By embedding these values deeply within our community, we strive to foster respect, understanding, and reconciliation, empowering all students to appreciate the enduring legacy and contributions of Aboriginal peoples.

We foster inclusive education by:
  • Our Koori Kids Club offers a welcoming space for students to share culture, family knowledge and deepen understanding of Aboriginal histories.
  • We embed Aboriginal perspectives across all curriculum areas, guided by local knowledge holders within our staff and community.
  • We value Aboriginal families and invite them to join our Aboriginal Education Committee, recognising their deep cultural knowledge and expertise.
