On Thursday 1st November, at 12:30, Tempe PS students will take part in Australia's biggest school initiative. Music: Count Us In is all about celebrating the value of music education to students' development, whoever they are, wherever they are. It involves more than 600,000 students and teachers (and parents are invited participate as well!) from schools all over Australia who sign up to learn, rehearse, then perform the same song, on the same day, at the same time. This year's song is Different People (Stand Together), co-written by Inner West muso Josh Pyke and three NSW high school students.
Our performance will take place in the hall at 12:30 pm, with a video link to the national performance outside Parliament House in Canberra. Parents and community members are welcome to come along and join in. An MP3 and lyric sheet can be downloaded above.
