Our extra-curricular highlights

Debating and public speaking

Students build confidence and sharpen their communication and teamwork skills through our debating and public speaking programs. With expert guidance and plenty of practice, they learn to express ideas with clarity and conviction, and have exciting opportunities to showcase their talents in local and state competitions.

Interest-based clubs

Tempe Public School has a wide range of interest-based lunchtime clubs for students to participate in. Clubs are led by passionate teachers who are happy to share their expertise in different areas. From cartooning to gardening, basketball competitions to Minecraft, there really is something for everyone.

Creative and performing arts

At Tempe, our drama, music and art programs help students to express themselves creatively. We provide many opportunities for students to join in, from in class drama activities to whole school concerts and art shows.

Cultural activities

We aim to ensure Aboriginal perspectives are incorporated into all curriculum areas and draw on the expertise of local knowledge holders among our staff and community.

Trips and excursions

Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.
