Teachers can refer students to the Marrickville Community Health Centre for screening should they feel the child needs additional medical support. This service is free.
The school nurse is part of the Child and Family Health team, located at Marrickville Community Health Centre. She works with speech therapists, a child psychologist, a social worker and a paediatrician. She can be contacted on 9550 0155, preferably between 3.00 pm and 5:00 pm.
The Community Health Centre also offers:
- individual and family counselling, health, education and psychiatric counselling
- treatment of educational and behaviour problems
