In Term 4 2011, selected Stage 2 & 3 students learnt how to make short films using stop motion. Each student was involved in the film process by either coming up with ideas, making and moving props, storyboarding, using the camera, set design or engaging with technology.
Whilst the films are only short, many literacy outcomes were achieved in the process. Students acquired new visual literacy skills by learning how to read still images and understand why certain camera angles are used.
Every student was given the opportunity to use the camera to take photographs via a school laptop. Each group took over 1000 photographs to create their film.
We hope you like the films!
